About me
(well almost)
...

My name is Emmanuelle, and I am a Western Herbal Medicine practitioner based in Hasting in East Sussex...

Despite having spent my early years in the French countryside, my passion for herbal medicine only came on as an adult.
At the time I was suffering from a yearly affliction of hay fever and to me spring blossoms meant little more than months of sneezing, itchy eyes and runny nose.

Over the years I had tried many over-the-counter remedies, but none had provided me with the relief that I needed. This, however, changed after visiting a friend in the south of France who happened to have books on herbal remedies...

Being of a curious nature and a having reader, I first reached out for these by intellectual interest but very soon my curiosity was peaked as I happened to have a plant, or tree in this instance, in my garden back in England that could seemingly help with my predicament.
The latter was Sambucus nigra (L.) also commonly known as the Elder tree and making a tea from its flowers indeed relieved me from all my symptoms without the usual drowsiness.

From that point the curiosity turned into an interest, which grew into passion for plants and medicine and after helping friends and relatives, I took the decision to make herbal medicine a second career and go back to university to become an herbalist.

After 6 long years and well over 500 hours of patient care at the Westminster University Polyclinic, I was awarded a Bsc in Western Herbal medicine, and I am now delighted to be able to help others experiencing the gentle power that plants have to offer for our health and ailments.

My practice is currently situated in the centre of Hastings and as such benefits from excellent transports link with nearby towns (Bexhill, Eastbourne, Battle, Rye), the rest of East Sussex or Kent and London.
I am also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and so my practice is inclusive.
